Nam T. Tran, M.D., is a surgeon at the Vascular Center at Harborview Medical Center. He is also a UW associate professor of Surgery specializing in Vascular Surgery.
Dr. Tran provides care to patients needing treatment for thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysm, carotid artery disease, vascular trauma and peripheral vascular disease. He believes in creating active partnerships with his patients to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Dr. Tran earned his M.D. from the UW. His clinical interests include open and endovascular treatment of aortic aneurysm, complex open aortic reconstruction, vascular trauma, carotid disease and vasculitis of the aorta and its branches. His research interests include aortic aneurysm, endovascular surgery, vascular trauma, endovascular simulation and surgical education. He is also an investigator participating in the CREST-II trial for carotid disease.
Dr. Tran trains Surgery residents and fellows with a specific concentration on the development and assessment of technical skills.
