I am a vascular surgeon at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical center and hold an Assistant Professor position at the Geisel School of Medicine, and The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice (TDI). I have had experience in a broad array of research projects related to studying outcomes and how to improve them in vascular care. I have authored or co-authored over 90 publications in scientific journals including Circulation, Annals of Surgery, BMJ, and NEJM Evidence. I have presented my work on regional and national forums and have completed a master’s degree at Dartmouth College where I obtained foundational skills in research study design, biostatistics, and public health.
I have an interest in using shared decision making to improve care for patients who are navigating complex medical decisions and using real-world observational data to inform clinical practice. I have experience in qualitative research, shared decision making, in addition to observational large data analysis, multiple dataset linking/integration, and using advanced observational biostatistics for causal inference. I have obtained foundation level and currently have a funded K08 award from the NIH/NHLBI to use advanced statistical methods to improve the validity of our knowledge of interventions for carotid artery revascularization (K08 HL165087).
